  • tank redo with pool sand.

so after a while thinking of changing the subtrate of tank I finally did and I think it looks good, and the fishes seem happier, also in another post I was kind of undecided of the lights atinic and 10K but after the subtrate change, it really looks good with the 10K and atinic.

Here some pics of before and after, still learning on setting the decoration but just by changing the subtrate was big difference.

Damn I want to switch to sand but don't want to take out all my rocks and scoop out the fish and old substrate. :\

How much was the sand and where did you get it from? Loooks goood!

the sand was from leslie's pools, $10.00 50lbs bag., what I did was gradually took out the old substrate on each water change, until there was not much left to make the complete overhaul.

The sand looks good, I like the rock placement too. Good overhaul!

Thanks for the nice comments, I didn't realize how African behave with sand, before they moved gravel but now I woke up to the surprise of mountains of sand since they started to dig under the rocks to make their own caves and set territory, pretty cool.
