When you start getting into the bigger more aggressive fish it's just how it goes down. I honestly think it's just how it's gonna be with them and something you have to be willing to accept once you've decided on keeping them.

The video J's referring to had a scrawny BG in a tank, maybe 75gal, with a scrawny moshi only. Showed the moshi's last moments of life. I have big aggressive fish, but I won't let it get that far, let alone run a camera during the whole thing.

As far as I can tell from the vents, it's a male.

That's because there's 40+ fish in there with him. Hard to lock on a target.

40+ fish? all petros? now where's the "inch per gallon" police at cause that has to be breaking the rules according to some people!

Yes, and yes. 50+ if you count the plecos

I break rules because of a certain 30 gal troph tank

I didn't see the vid but I can imagine, I still don't think it's that bad of thing.

letting two duke it out or all the people out there that try to get away with understocking the tank and allowing a slow demise is about the same in my book.

SOrry if it offends anyone but it's my viewpoint. Under stock a tank and they'll just eventually kill one another but it's seems to be acceptable with the justification of "I don't have money or tank space to buy a lot", that should mean you shouldn't get them to begin with. No worse than a guy finding enjoyment from watching two kill each other, same end product.

It's not a case of understocking. He has that huge fish in there alone and puts a fish in there with no chance. It's obvious that he doesn't care about the well being of that poor fish because he recorded it after the fish was already near death. Take it out at least. Even the dog looked sad.

I understand that but do you think he should be punished the same as someone that knowingly buys petros to under stock a tank? they would suffer the same demise but the guy under stocking a tank would be applauded for attempting to try while this guy is being shunned for basically the same thing.

Quoc, when I got my 230, I unwittingly put 19 petros in it, 9 Moshi (around 3" - 4"), 9 Polys (around 5") and 1 Famula Chimba. Very soon, I lost 5 Moshi within 2 wks before I realized my folly and added 14 more Poly when they came up for sale right around that time. No more deaths since then. Surely you're not saying that I'm doing the same thing as this guy who puts a visibly underfed BG with a Moshi by themselves in a tank? No sir. You say that I understocked to see the carnage? GTFO dude. What this dude did and understocking are way different. It's like watching your dog fight the neighbor's dog because he got away and another dude setting a fight bred bully pit on a family lab. Understocking a tank is done in ignorance usually, which includes those who do so to piecemeal their colony. What this guy did was deliberate.
