    Finally decided to take a video of my colony of chaitika or blue rainbows.

    setup is 135 oceanic with 2x=2260 and wetdry with mag12 w

    Here it is enjoy

        Wow. They are nice. Why the blue background? I think black brings color out better

            Blue is just a personal choice i really like the blue, i have black in my other tanks

                  Interesting, because I think otherwise. I felt the lighter color background brings out the color of the fish better... unless you have dark, colored fish.

                      My opinion is, blue shares the attention as far as color with the fish. Black puts the attention on the fish, because black is nothing to look at. The fish swimming against a black background is awesome. To each it's own though. Tank still looks nice

                            Nice size colony!

                            I prefer the light background on the rainbow sp. as well, it brings out the yellow bodies nicely. Black just makes them look muddy.
