what he said. i will say im one of the hardest on my filters. just about the only ones still going are ehiem. and i have seen some that have been running for decades.

true that, my 2028 is going on 13 years with no maintenance other than replacing the priming bulb oring and i probably wouldnt have needed to do that if i would have broken it down and lubed the thing every couple of years.
