Undecided on trophs to get. I want to get T. duboisi karilani, but I'm thinking about throwing in a second species or perhaps petros.

Will you be buying WC or F1 ? The Trophs Dub. Karilani are going to be hard to come by around Houston . I only know of one person who has a breeding group of these . That person is MIA . I suggest that you check out YouTube and Google different variants and see what you like . Once you find one that you like.....then post a Want Ad here and see if someone has any fry available. If no one here has what you like....then you may have to order them from an Importer .

I know it's hard to find. I'm trying to see if Alex at Ultimate can get some in for me. He's gotten me some several years ago when I was into trophs. As far as the petros. I'm using the tank as a grow out tank. Eventually looking at 150-200 gallon range.Emerald Green Rainbowfish

I like all those Trophs and then a lot more. No petro/trews for me though. They are duds IMO. Why not just buy some F1 fry from a local breeder and grow them out in the 75. 200 gal sounds like a good choice. Good luck.200

Well I just did it. I ordered 15 P. trews. 1-2inch size. Should get them about the end of next week. I just couldnt get over that nice one that Alex at Ultimate Fish had for 10-12 years. Gonna grow them out. Next year I'll replace the 75 with a 150 or 200 (whatever will fit). I'm thinking of growing out some ilangi with them (Yellows contrast well with the dark browns).Emerald Green Rainbowfish

Man, you should think about getting a few more. I had 15 Trews that I was growing out and around the time they hit 2" - 2.5" their hormones kicked in and I was left with 7 before I knew it. Only way I could stop it there was by adding about 30 other petros about the same size. After that phase, they chilled out some. My advise is to have more fish in there with them, equal size or larger. Seen it happen with my Longolas and Red Eye Ikolas as well.
