Trews grow the fastest of any pertros I've had experiance with. You add the Moshi and I think you'll be pushed out of that tank closer to 6 than 9.

Trews grow slower than any petro there is. Thats a fact. They are a great looking fish but they do not grow fast.

Thanks man. I respect you experiances too. My polyodons petros grow from just spit to 5"-6" in one year. My trew fry would grow from just spit to 2 1/2" in a year. I do love me trews though.

Trophs make good tankmates for petros. Mine don't breed too successfully in that crowded tank, but they hold a few to term once in a while.

Lost my first one today. I should have taken it out of the main tank earlier. It was the smallest of the group. It was not getting much if any food, and slightly thinner than the rest when it came in. :(

Doesn't always help to take petros out. Lot of the time you can't get 'em back in.

the rest are quite happy and fat. just watching the smallest one. i'm regretting all the rock because some take the food into the rocks and I dont actually see them eat. Most are pretty fat.

I know it does. That's why I thought it was cool to post both. It really is two different fish. There are 3 of them that look nearly exact.
