Mutant Planet is a show on the Science channel. they did a show on the African Cichlids and it was great. One of the stars of the show was King Callipterus. The Shell Castle Cichlid.

I thought it was a great show! Could have done with out the money's and apes, but a great show otherwise.

Thanks for posting , I never heard of this cichlid before. Would be nice to have a couple of these guys in a long tank with many shells.

Thanks for the video! I've seen these shellies before in some other video. It's pretty hilarious how they steal each other shells!

Really was a great show. It's what I show all my friends who question why I don't have a saltwater tank :) agreed on not needing he primates.
