there is a very high chance of them cross breeding, sp. red crossbreed with almost any other species more easily than any other variant

Red and Blue Rainbows are both Moorii and any sp. Red will breed with both of them given the opportunity.

This is not correct . The Chimba are sp. Red.....while the Red Rainbow are Moori . To answer the OP's question.......Yes they will attempt to crossbreed . I had to separate my some juvie Moliro and Red Rainbow several months ago .
