Use the dubs to practice stripping the fry. Once you feel confident, try the canary cheek.

Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

            +1 practice stripping them dubs!

Put a tiny piece of gravel (about the size of a troph egg) in the tumbler and turn it on. If the gravel bounces a lot then it should work fine for the eggs.

I tried that rock thing with my tumbler and it didn't bounce. But when I actually put eggs in it bounced. Eggs weight less so you might wanna try something closer to the eggs weight to get a good idea.

Youre tumbler looks like it would work. My friend made one like that you just have to play with it when the eggs are in there. Sometimes you have to block the top of the tumbler to get the eggs to tumble.

Heck. I used a large wine glass, covered it with netting material, and pointed the flow to where it moved the eggs the way I wanted. Worked several times so far.

I use double screened tumblers for my F1 moba fry. I bought my best one from Jrogo. He's out of NY I think.

I tore my bottom screen and replaced it with a sink drain strainer I got at Bering Hardware that fit the best. I cut it to size using regular scissors and attached it with aquarium safe sealer. You need a double screen because smaller fish and plecos will suck the fragile eggs right out of the bottom.

I modified this tumbler by drilling a hole all the way through the top pieces so I could run a stainless steel bolt to attach both pieces together. I screw a nut on it to be sure both pieces stay together. I had this tumbler open on me once before several years ago releasing all my egg-bound moba wigglers. They became moba caviar. :(

Here's a recent vid I took of my latest batch of F1 moba fry. You will see what I've tried to explain here:

Hope this helps you and others here.

Sorry I don't have any for sale. Do a search for jrogo on aquabid and ebay. He's been listed on there. He gets them out pretty fast.
