okay....what kind is it?

  • okay....what kind is it?

    I know it's a mbuna...and I spent like 2 hours trying ti figure it out.
    a) the males are a dark purple with black or parker purple stripes (almost hard to see)
    b) the females are a different shade but all are the same size
    c) got them from Hanson
    sorry for the pic quality
    5.5 fw fluval chi - class N top bar snake chested endlers/ red marble bn/ 4 stripe RCS/ pumpkin shrimp
    20 sw cube - a few damsels and a colony of bristleworms
    29 fw - self cloning crayfish..which can't seem to clone haha
    29 fw - mollies / albino bristlenose / ghost shrimp and snowball shrimp/ glo danios
    29 fw - crs/ amano/tiger shrimp /assassins/ whiptails/ plants/ 3 emerald cories
    55 fw - steatocranus casaurius (20ish)/ tetras/ rainbows/large Jack Dempsey
    75 fw - large Jack Dempseys / pictus cat/ yoyo loach/ Red gippicep
    / 10+" oscar/ parrot

          Are those camera phone pics or something?  They don't do those fish justice unless they really haven't colored up yet like they should.  The parents of those fish were just plain awesome when I bought them originally.

                A couple of the fish I got at the auction developed that mouth thing that looks like pieces of skin hanging from their lips.  Anyway... Pimafix didn't get rid of them all the way, so I binox'ed the water.  It made taking pictures downright difficult.  I used the same camera on the "mbamba's" that I did on the buffalo heads.  Big difference huh?

                  yeah he just cant help himself, and since he cant keep fish anymore he at least chats about them. right hanson, and if u ever have time please stop by the meetings anyway to hang out, i cant put up with EK all by myself.

                    I'm still here.  I usually check this place out a few times a day to see what's going on.  Pondering one big tank for my apartment for a nice display.  I just don't want to end up with 6+ tanks in my apartment again.
