      Re: Ikola bloat

That sucks, but you're also at fault for purchasing the sick fish to begin with. Did you drip acclimate them?

Good luck nursing them back to health

Let me clarify. It is partially your fault for not looking at the fish to make sure they are healthy beforetaking them home with you. Have you given the thought that maybe something you did while acclimating them and adding them to the tank caused the bloat? Maybe stress on the trip home? A lot of factors that play into bloat

So its my fault he knows he has sick fish and sells them to me. avoid buying fish from him save you trouble

... PARTIALLY your fault... Partially. You are the buyer. You could have simply turned down the offer to purchase the fish or offer to purchase the fish after they have recovered.

                Re: Ikola bloat

You have no one to blame but yourself . Who buys fish that they know are sick ? Better yet....who buys Trophs that are already sick with Bloat ? If you didn't know they were sick at the time of purchase.....whose to say that the Seller did ? I think you should just admit it to yourself that you don't know what to look for when purchasing Trophs . Trust me....if those fish at that size had Bloat .....it would have been very obvious . Anyway.....hopefully you have Metro and/or Clout on hand and have started treatment .

Ok guys he's talking about me. I was weary about selling him the fish being that he claims to have bought an adult colony of ikolas and now has 0 fish to prove it. So if he's telling the truth about purchasing those then now they are all dead. I specifically told Rod I didn't feel comfortable selling him or anyone any fish without him seeing the fish in person first. He sat and watched 50cal's red rainbows for 45 mins, bought them and all of the fish died on him. I have him some free metro at the time he bought those fish. He said 50cal told him they were sick but he still bought them. So why are you complaining about me? When I had these ikola all of them were very healthy and eating and no problems. Remember I kept telling him I did not want to sell him fish without him seeing them but he insisted because he seems to always be in a rush. He texted me and told me he was gonna be at my apt at 9, then it moved to 10. He told me he didn't want to wait for the fish so he told me he'll be there at 10 and for me to catch the fish and have them waiting by the time he got there. Fish were caught at 9:30 and were sitting in a bucket. 10:30 passes and I tell him he's taking too long and i was gonna put the fish back in the tank. He shows up at 11, takes a cell phone light and looks at them in the bucket and says he's satisfied. And he takes off. Less than a minute transaction. Rod has been placing the blame on me and I offered to refund him for each fish that died although I don't believe it was my fault. Fish sitting in a bucket that long raised to nitrates and after asking him how he treated the fish when he got home, he told me he matched the temperature in the bucket and in the tank and when I asked him what the temperature was he couldn't tell me. As anxious as he is, I'm sure he probably dumped the fish in his tank and they had a nitrate shock. He lefty apt at 11 and at 11:27 he started asking me questions via text. I haven't had a single case of bloat since my Kachese colony in 2010. I've actually been trying to find out the difference between dropsy and bloat and trying to find out the best treatment for my next wild caught colony. Sorry it happened but like I said, I adamantly tried to get Rod to see the fish before he purchased so he wouldn't claim something like this was my fault. Like I said before you are never to buy fish without seeing them especially when the seller urges you to see them first.

And lets not talk about when I bought the red rainbows from you and you wouldn't let me even come see them. Yeah you did tell me one was sick but you told me I buy the sick fish or no fish and since my girlfriend wanted them I bought them. I never asked you for a refund after we lost two fish and neither did I complain on the box because although I asked you to see the fish and you told me no, I made the stupid decision to buy them. Even my girlfriend was asking if we could see them first and told me I was making a bad decision by buying them without seeing them. Although we only bought 9 fish from you, that was stupid for me to get them without seeing them. You bought an entire colony without looking at them. I think every single fish you sold us was sick and their stomachs were humongous but I saved all but two. I now see why people don't like selling to you. I've sold fish to many different people and never had this happen.

My specific words to Rod were, "by you choosing not to see the fish before buying takes all responsibility from me." I'm not in the business for screwing people over and I've sold fish to over five members on the box and never had a complaint. I have no idea what happened to the fish after they left me but I still offered to refund because I felt bad. But now I really don't care. He doesn't listen to anything anyone says and he thinks he knows everything there is to know. Acclimating fish isn't only about temperatures it's about trying to get the water parameters almost the same. He chose to not see the fish, told me to catch the fish before he came which took him an hour and a half. Sorry Rod but I feel like the loss of fish was your fault. They were happy in my tank. Answer one question. If you say you didn't have any ikola, but you bought phish ikola colony and you have been searching for them for so long, where are the ikola you bought from phish?

J/w how long did it take for the fish to die?
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
