  • Placidochromis sp. ''Phenochilus Tanzania''

My male is finally starting to get his specks. Its fun to watch him slow start to get more speckled. I believe they are the only malawi cichlid to do this. I plan to take a picture with his speckles, but for now, here is a old photo that will serve as 'before':
    Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Nice fish man what size tank are they in?
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Great looking fish, looking forward to the "after" pictures. I have a trio of them, but they are still fairly small and look like your "before" photo.

Speckling is a couple year process from what I've read.
