Ok I have to make an emergency trip up to Nebraska and I'm wondering how long will the trophs be ok with out a water change they are in the 60 gal bowfront filtration is Ac110 and cascade 1000 $ 1500. Auto feeder set to feed twice a day i think i will be gone for atleast a week

Well it depends how heavy your stock is

I would also under feed them until you get back more food more waste .....

I would do water change depending on your last one. Also do you have a timer for your lights? Unless you have some strong natural lighting coming in your home, without a timer to turn them on and off your fish might be sleeping a lot. A week isn't that long considering most people do weekly water changes but I would do one small feeding per day since you wouldn't be able to monitor them. Fish can be find without a week of food.

And me personally, I would rather leave the light off the whole time and not feed rather than leave it on the whole time and feed.

Yeah, do a water change before you go, keep lights turned off, and cut feeding down to once a day around 2pm - 3pm

i been out for a week and kept my trophs on a reg schedule, did a wc before i left and did one when i came back no probs here
