  • lamprologus meleagris frustration

I have four lamprologus meleagris the frustrating part of these shell dwellers is figuring out who is male and who is female. I have read everything I can find on sexing these cichlids. I think I have at least one female but right now she has no territory so I need to rescape.

The more I look at them the less I know about who is what.

Its hard to tell since both look similar, best bet is to get a bunch and watch who gets weeded out.

Keep the shells apart so multiple harems can be formed, characteristics is the best bet.

Since all they do lately is sit on their shells I am going to start feeding less food. They are getting fat and lazy.
