Thanks for the compliments! I cannot stop rearranging my rocks, but I think this is the one I'm keeping for awhile. The pile is made up of many medium sized rock pieces, so there are two distinct levels under that with many clearly defined caves (though you can still swim from left to right pretty easily.) The fish absolutely love the maze, so much that they spend all of their time in it!
I probably need a rock in the back right corner, and maybe an accent rock in the middle bridging towards the small rock pile.
All of my water channels through the front and to that little right-side section right now and gets sucked up before it hits my spraybar (keeps my water really nice.)
stocking is done too (for the most part,) still trying to grow some algae.
12 x Cyp Leptosoma Blue Flash yellow tail
3 x syn. petricola
3 x yellow calvus
1 x tretacephalous
1 x tropheus duboisi
1 x julie transcriptus
4-8 x multi shelldweller
The tropheus and Tret swim around together as if they are a pair, them mating even possible?? I also have a ruby red peacock I wanted to test out in this tank, but the tropheus +tret gang up on him. He currently resides in a corner.
I'm in the process of scraping/converting all (2) of my planted tanks and going Tanganyikans. Have a 40B in the garage getting restarted for the Cyps to breed in.
