  • How soon should I isolate Yellow Lab mam with eggs?

I noticed on tuesday that she started carrying. So, its only been 48 hours.... I have a floating housing unit, but I dont want to put her in TOO soon. Any suggestions? Thanks!

fertilized eggs grow quick. I'm not familiar with yellow labs, but she could be ready now or very soon. If shes holding, I don't think it would be an issue to isolate her now.

Well, my only fear is that the eggs may not be fertilized yet... She has spawned with the male in the tank before, but they are not friends. He kinda reminds me of the drunk, obnoxious guy at the bar trying to pick up the hot chick....she gets VERY ANNOYED with him quickly. He spends most of the day chasing her around trying to "dance" and she just keeps running! Lol

If the male is too aggressive it will cause the female stress and eventually lose her clutch. You can isolate her now

Isolate or strip and tumble the eggs.
