    ok quick question because I assume most people have their lights on timers.

    1. what brand timers?
    2. Can it be set multiple times?

    i get walmart brinks with grounded plug its like $6-7 bucks and yes u can setup multiple times on it

      We use timers on most of our tanks and vivs. Mostly just the cheapest options as they do just fine, IKEA had a pair for $5. Some high end ones have more bells and whistles and numerous different settings for various light control, but for freshwater it seems a bit wasted.

                I got a neat one where you can plug 2 lights into the one timer. Ill post the brand & model later.

                    Sounds like you just need a grounded timer that allows for multiple on/offs.

                      I use the coralife one for my salt because it has a day and night switch plus it's an outlet. But for my FW I just use the cheap ones.

                        yeah pretty much doesn't need to have anything fancy just multiple on/offs and more than one plug so I think the walmart one will probably be just fine
