First and foremost, I'd like to thank Luis (New_Cichlid) for lending me a helping hand for a few hours. There was no way I could've done this alone. He drilled my sump perfectly for me and installed a valve on the new pump for control until I get another overflow.

The only thing that concerned me about this was that an hour before I decided to do this, my Red Kachese decided to breed and I was worried that the stress would cause her to swallow the eggs. Fish were in one of my coolers for about 4 hours with sponge filters and air stones.
So I had the tank broken down and drained as much water as possible and Luis and I tried to take the tank off the stand but it's like a mold. Gonna be hell moving when I decide to leave the hell hole I live in now. So I had to remove old paint and apply new paint all in my living room with one of my roommate's math clients in here.

Luis did a good job drilling the sump. He made me nervous at how careful he was lol.

Hardest part during the process was getting tuning the valve to maximize output of the pump while dealing with the homeade PVC overflow tubings. I swear those things suck at keeping a siphon and it doesn't help that they aren't clear and completely round. We got it done and I'm very pleased with the results. The pictures of the new tank don't do it justice but it's clean in person.
Here's the old setup:

Red Kachese is the first fish that I ever owned. Lost my first tropheus colony in a house fire back in 2010 and I'm extremely satisfied that I got the opportunity to finally get another decent colony. My colony consists of 7m/12f. Fish originally came from SI cichlids. Got them in on January 12th and they were kinda skinny. Been feeding them good and 3 weeks later I finally got one holding female and another 2 or 3 dropping vents. The new scape is kinda iffy IMO, but I let Luis scape it since he put so much work into helping me out. Any advice on scaping is welcomed.
Thanks to EK for advising to get white or red background. I opted to get a certain off white and love it. Thanks to Roy (mnemenoi) and Donovan(crazydx?) for leading me in the right direction with lighting choices. Thanks to Omar (Semper) for selling me the lights. Thanks to Sunny for the Colormax (I actually like them better with the other lights off and I use them as my cheap moonlights). And most of all, thanks to Luis for dedicating so much time and effort into my tank. I owe you one.
Here is one of the dominant males. He pretty much runs the tank, but other fish color up like him and it's a sight to see. Sorry for the bad picture.
