I plan to make a more permanent DIY carbon bottle. I'll do a write up on that when I make it. I have a reactor I was thinking about rigging into a carbon bottle, but decided not to. If anyone wants to attempt it, I'll let the reactor go for $30. Will be posted in market later tonight.

I'm not sure how practical it would be due to the need for it to be above the tank to work properly but I'm curious how well converting a wetdry from bioballs to carbon would work. Extra oxygenation, leaves the carbon dry after use, and the trickle effect should increase contact time.135 gal Fahaka Puffer

Carbon bottle, no. I'm thinking if you set up a wetdry with carbon it would need to be above the tank unless you can match the hose flow rate to your return pump rate really well.135 gal Fahaka Puffer

Stephen made this for me a while back and I love it. I would suggest getting an o ring and placing it at the opening so you you will not have any water leaking. I inherited a carbon snake a few weeks ago and I will be using both when I do my next water change. These are the next best to a carbon bottle. I will gradute later on down the road.
