  • Please help me indentify this fish

    hey guys i bought 10 frey babys of these parents
    the owner who sold me them said the parents are parrot cichlids? But look nothing like them , he said there a malawi cichlid which is african ? But parrot cichlids are american? Really confused, i dont think he knows himself what they are

      Maybe a flowerhorn, they do have a oarrot parent. A better pic would be better to clarify the species!

                and not a flowerhorn either. it kind of has a head like a geo but not the body of one. that orange looking body is kind of cool tho.

                  For sure some kind of hybrid never seen it before but I'm guessing someone was trying to make a flowerhorn maybe a cross with a red jewel and a geo

                          Oh I see. Well, it's a better looking fish than the Parrot Fish I was thinking. Very nice.

                            If those colors are juvi colors and it gets to look like the green fish in the link then its not as nice IMO. You should post this on our fish profiles section.

                              Yes they are nicaraguensis. I have a male and 2 female w/ about 30 fry. If anyone wants some I will sell the fry. They are about 1" long. All the fry has a strip down the side.
