  • Lol!! I've done that in other tanks with black pebbles but it just seemed wrong to do in the fronts tank.

          • Ok! Rescaped the tank. I think I like this a little better. Unfortunately the current standard lighting doesn't do any justice to the fronts, the sand, or the beautiful rocks! Hopefully I'll be able to get better lighting soon. Some pics and a vid...

                        • Very nice. Yes, I think upgrading your lighting would really bring out the beautiful coloring of your mobas!

                          I use the Marineland Double Bright LEDs and like the shimmering effect they give. I have them on an auto-timer.
                          180g Oceanic w/colony of 8 WC Moba Fronts (1m/7f) purchased from TNT Cichlids in Jan '05 & numerous fry. 1 F1 adult moba male. 2 2217 Eheims, 2 6080 Tunze Streams, WISA airpump, single stage Johnson ETC.....fishkeeping since 1988.
