Man. Reading the post after the OP got me thinking WTF LOL. With leleupi fry they're easy to care for IMO. The parents will take care of the fry really well. Then if you have another batch in the same tank as the first batch. That batch will be taken care of by the parents and the older brother and sisters.

So you're saying it's ONE happy family!?!?
The male is pretty rough on the fry. He doesn't eat them but just rough. He's digging the sand everywhere. I hope fry didn't get buried. I think he is in heat for mating. :)

I think the males sense when females see ready even before they drop vents. I see that all the time with my BG colony. I see the alpha going crazy harassing all the males to show who's boss and in between all that he'll shake at one particular female and what do you know, she's dropping her vent a day or so later. Pretty cool to watch.

Basically. He's probably digging cause the female is ready to have another one soon.. Mine did that and couple days later there was fry out on the sand bed exploring the new world. It's kinda like humans pushing everything out the way to get down to business hahah

Dude, that is what the cave is for. I got 3 caves in there, and the male decides he doesn't need one. He likes to dig under the rock and sand.
