My very first batch of fry I ever had are pretty much adults now.....I think you have seen them already jesper.....but I have three batches of fry growing up in my tank right now along with another batch that is growing up in a friends tank so I got to see three different tanks with my Ilangi babies yesterday.700g Mini-Monster tankComment

Ahh that is COOL ... you know one of these days you are going to have to give me a colony size batch of those Ilangi for my first Tropheus Tank.. it will be at least a year from now so dont worry to deeply about it right now :)

No problems man! by then there should be tons of fry!
Right now I am letting them get some size in with the parents before taking them out.....one so that I can watch them grow and interact with the adults and two cause I hate tearing the tank down to net them out.

Well, I could not wait any longer so tonight I went ahead and stripped the remaining two females that were holding in order to try and increase the survival rates. One had 13 fry and the other had 9. That brings my total to 26 kachese fry!!!!!!!!!!150G Tropheus Moorii Ilangi

Geoff I would love to know.. but until I have a tank to put them in I am kinda limited to what I can do. Right now I am going to have to work on getting other things prioritized, and once I have settled down I am going to get a BIG tank. Once the BIG tank is here, then I can look at getting into a colony which is my desire. If the colony is still available 6 months to a year from now then I will be REALLY ready to pick some up.
