I found this video and the mix of colors were amazing IMO, but I'm dumbfounded how he has managed to keep trophs and petros alive in a tank full of carnivorous fish. I would think a diet that would keep the Haps alive would kill the Petro/Troph with Bloat or their low protein diet would make the Haps look crappy. Based on his videos the tank has been running for 7+ months and it doesnt appear any of the fish have died. Any ideas on how this is possible.....because I would love to do it haha

Pretty simple. Feed the Malawi bigger foods that the trophs will avoid. At the same time feed the trophs what they prefer. NLS and Dainichi are my staples. Carnivore, omnivore, or herbivore I think it's a pretty solid food. Having colors like that isn't that hard to achieve when it's a tank full of males of different species. Looks like the fish had just got done feeding and most fish color up when it's feeding time so that could explain it.210gPetrochromis Macrognatus Green 'Nsumbu

What's the question? Aggression is in check because they're packed in there and have minimal locations for territorial dominance. You can feed NLS to every fish. Quality, high protein food. They have a variety of types of food, but the main 95% of the ingredients are all the same. I feed my trophs, victorians (carnivores), shellys, plecos and my saltwater fish all from the same NLS bucket.
