  • New 90 gallon bow front

Took me all day to get rocks sand. Clean rocks and sand. Stain stand dark walnut. DIY center brace. First attempt at rockscaping. Im exhausted but I think it looks good. Will house demasoni, yellow labs, red empress, and german red peacocks. What do you think?

Nice! I see much enthusiasm put into your work. I think you are aiming to get some luscious green algae going on these rocks?

Looks good. Throw a black background on there and you're set!

Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Exactly rmslford. What would be a good lighting system that won't break the bank. Right now I stole a 36 in double t5 from my 125 tank.

That is nice rock tank you have there. Put light on straight for a week and temp 82 you have a nice algae hair grown. one quick question" did you put anything under rock because I think the rock big and heavy might bust the bottom glass"

Water temp is at 82, won't leaving the light on for a week stress the fish? Nothing under the rock except 1/2 sand. Glass is pretty strong. Weight is distributed evenly, only 150 lb of rock.

If you're not looking to break the bank try some DIY lighting. Maybe floodlights. Personally, I have two 12k strips on my 150g tall. I've done a bunch of glass tops that were cut at Ace Hardware for cheap. I have cut the dog **** out of my fingers multiple times being too lazy to sand the edges down. If you look on Amazon you can probably find some glass canopies for a decent price. I wouldn't cut glass tops again. The glass is thin also.

Would I need to hang flood lights or can they just sit on top. Can I get those at lowes or Hd?
