As long as you keep them full of water you don't have to worry about it

yes I was going to leave water in them they just will be unplugged and moved for a few hours while I take the aquarium apart, clean then put it back together. Also there is some algae on the glass that is not coming off easily. any tricks to get it off while I'm cleaning the aquarium?

I'd try a razor blade if it's that bad

Thanks for all the good advice I can't wait to do it this weekend and post some before and after pics. I have attached some ledger stone to a egg create light diffuser with aquarium safe sealant and it bond quite well I'm going to use this for my background. I am out of the aquarium safe sealant I bought at petsmart is there something I can get at Lowe's that is cheaper that will do the same thing?

Very nice, can't wait to see it up and running. You can use GE silicone 1. Make sure you get 1 though, it's for windows and doors. Can't be mold or mildew resistant and must be 100% silicone

on the ledger stone I'm going to use to get it to be a dark Black you have to apply stone enhancer but I doubt it's safe for aquariums. not sure if it dried all the way if the chemicals would leach in to the water. any thoughts?

I finally got to rescape this pass weekend. I need to add a few more cichlids stones to the top of the rock pile.
Will also try and take some better pictures this was at 11 last night. Also thinking of adding hydro wave maker to stir up the debris but I placed koralia 850 gph in the upper corner but it was to big to stay hidden do you think the 600 would move enough water and are they smaller than the 850? or are there any other wave makers that are smaller that push as much water? Thanks.

Looks great! Usually smaller s going to be less powerful. The vortech MP series are small and powerful, since they're driven by magnets, but pretty steep on price
