Yeah, the mysis is a treat...which is probably why they go nuts over it.  :)

However, they do like to play like they aren't going to eat their regular food until I walk away, then they swim around eating pellets.  Like I'm going to go, 'ah...you don't want your pellets or flakes?  Okay...I'll go get the shrimp for you then....'
