I threw them into the tank pitch black to allow them to calm down and inside the tank I haven't added rocks, also to reduce the aggression.

I've seen a lot of sand shifting

Do you think I should soak their food in metro as a preventative approach?
Should I also treat the tank with Tetra Parasite Guard in case there are any parasites?

No need. Those fish are established enough to be practically bulletproof

You shouldn't need to do that ,just add some metros for the next two days and don't feed them until couples of days later .They all very healthy and should produce frys for you soon.They alway holding but I am to lazy to trip them lately.

2 females holding but most of the colony is not eating they chew the nls then spit it out

I stripped one of my smallest females to find 10 swimming fry. I can't believe she could hold so many free swimming fry in her small mouth
