Lol....no. But even then I used three different thermometer's. I am going to pick up a digital thermometer tonight. There always nice to have.

Hopefully the adjustments I made this morning will show something in the way of heat reduction. If not, Ill begin to make a bracket for that fan and mount it this weekend.

VERY NICE! i have 2x 120v axial fans for a walk in cooler running at 3000rpm's under my stand.
they are side by side mounted above the sump to the underside of the stand. I also have a ranco etc 111000 electronic temp. controller on my hydor eth 200. workswonderfully for the temperature issues. i have a quiteone 4000 in a aquaclear 150 sump with a k-evo- mini - hydor eth 200 followed inline by a turbotwist 9w uv. plus a rw-4 circ pump, and a 24" quad t5 ho. this si all on a 55g, it was running at 84.5f steady, with the 2x fans and temp. controller, no issues, runs at 79.7f constant. so with that blower if you do need it, it may be to much.

We'll have to see. Honestly, I'm hoping I don't have to use it, but if I must, I must.

Have you tried looking up this link - it's the parent company "Jebao", they have a twin controller to run 2 pumps

Click on the link and use the dropdown arrow on right side and select whatever size you need, it comes with a twin controller, and two pumps.

Appreciate the info. However, just my personal preference, if it has anything to do with Jebao, it doesn't enter my house. Not to mention the the other pumps and controller can be sourced for the same price or less for my application.

Well on a bright note, I did get the temperature to drop in the tank, but I haven't isolated exactly why just yet. However, I feel I will have it definitively sorted out by this weekend.

I understand you've gotta get everything just right, but how much longer do we have to wait to see some fish? I'm getting anxious over here haha

By the way, Vortech is dropping a new MP series, the QuietDrive:
Ecotech Marine has announced completely new models for their entire line of VorTech pumps. The new pumps are called the VorTech QuietDrive (QD) and marketed as more efficient with up to 40% more output and 90% less motor noise. No, that's not a typo. We distill all the useful information about the exciting evolution of the VorTech.

Trust me, the fact that I have to look at it every night, is killing me more than yall.

I have been in contact with a few importers. Some with good results, others with "well I wont be buying from you". Again my overall plan was the end of February to place an order. I still think that that is a very good possibility. I have already purchased food and meds so everything from that end is really set IMO.

I did almost bite the bullet on a group of WC Tropheus Duboisi Maswa, but I couldn't justify buying a fish that is so far down on my list.

Ah hell, we're just twisting your arm because we love fish. Make sure to hold out for a nice group, even though WC dubs could bring you some serious cash flow. We'll be eagerly waiting!

The group was nice and healthy, but they just dont appeal to me like others do. Eventually I may own some, but it wont be in the near future.
