Growing Petrochromis sp. Red Mahale

This is my 2nd attempt to growing frys from 1" or smaller , my 1st time was when I just introduction into Tropheus/Petrochromis habit and got some Tropheus Chiwana frys from Thai but I didn't have much patience to wait for them to become an adults thus ever since I alway either bought adults F1 or Wild Caught.
I had have keep Adults and WC of sp.Red Mahale (or Bulu point)in the past but often have issue with Accumulate the Wild or aggressive toward each other from Adults F1 , I like big group of Petros and got hard time to purchase from individual source for large group so humble around and bring in fish from all over the states but the result as I mention above I then got tiered and I sold my group couple of years ago.
Been missed my group of Sp. Red Mahale a lot and I decide to grow a group for myself so I purchased and received 48 of Red Mahale last Wednesday and on schedule to receives another 15-20 by middle of February .i hope for some luck and have a decent group of them by 18-24 months from now. Waiting is a tough game, but totally worth it in the end. Glad you were able to get another chance at that awesome fish. Keep the updates comin!

It's been 2 years since I'm growing out my 1" F1 Cyphos Moba. They are now 6"-8" and ready to breed. Totally worth the wait and it's cool to see them grow.

That is very cool when you can grow out frys from 1" to 6-8" . I hope I have enough patience to grow them out . I am alway have some Tropheus frys but haven't grow them until adult yet.

Take it from me Vinny. ....they won't be small for long . They grow super fast . As a matter of fact. ...Petros grow faster than any fish that I have kept. The Bulu aren't as fast as the Petro Longola or Petro Macro...but they still grow 10x faster than Tropheus fry.

Very nice Vinny. Are these in the 200 gallon 5ft tank? Have patience grasshopper.
