He also got some gorgeous huge blue angels with 4-6" trailer for $20. I almost gave in on these guys.
I tried angel fish about 3 different times and never had any luck. I never did anything to make the water more to their liking. I decided they're just not for my tanks. That was a long time ago.

Ugh, I don't remember seeing the price on the adults. I keep thinking about $25-$30???? But can't remember for sure. There was about 3 or 4. There were 2 in one tank and another 1 in another tank, maybe a 4th in another tank, and then they had a tank with the 3" size. I was at City Pets between 5:00 and 6:00 this evening.

I might go there tomorrow. It is 43 miles one way for me! I am out in the country.

But I would love to get a few adults and make a breeding pair.

That's a good distance for sure but nothing like good ole country living . They're in the tanks close to the saltwater ones. Even though they're a pretty new fish to me I recognized the big ones immediately.

Yes, they are recognizable, pretty unique. And city pets is such a cool store. Just a horrible area to drive in. But I ens up going there once a month or so.

I hate driving in that area too, all that traffic nearly gives me hives. LOL One of the reasons I seldom go there.

How many inches long were they? They do get kind of chubby.

Ummmmm, maybe 4-6" ?? I was looking at how chubby they were more than anything. I was really surprised. I guess I expected them to be more torpedo shaped like my acei.

Can't wait til mine get that big. Lol. The good news is there are a lot of other options out there. Just a matter of research and looking around for what will work for your tank.
