I've been watching the Brichardi for the past hour and they appear to be break dancing. Since I've never seen this behavior before I'm assuming they're getting ready to spawn.

Watching the 3 different sizes and the way the larger ones hover over the smaller is neat. I love the way mom and dad put them all in a cave when I'm cleaning the tank. The parents will poke their heads out and check on me. Too cute.

Hmm, I had a cave for them, but they always chose the space under the big rock. If they used a cave, it was easier to remove them out to grow out tank.

yeah i had a few caves, but they normally burrowed out under a rock for spawning. only one set used my artificial cave. but they are very good parents, hence why they thrive. i loved watching the dynamic of multiple generations too....just got to be too many haha

My guys cave is a broken half of a flower pot. I'm pretty sure they spawned on a piece of coral though. The smaller one moved sand away from that coral all week. Who usually does all the cleaning, mom or dad? Still don't know which is which.
