[CRAZY FIND] 2.25" Petro Trew in bottom of FX5!?

This was nuts!

I was performing full cleaning of the 5 Breeder tanks on the first floor and found this girl and 2 others in separate tanks. 1 petro trew is 2.25" and had to be in the bottom of the FX5 since before the summer. I had put 7 1.5-2" fry into this 235g and I ended selling the 5 that were left. I found 1 dead behind the tank a month ago and thought the other one was eaten. Low and Behold it was in the filter. LOL

I also found an Mpulungu Tropheus fry in the bottom of the FX5 of their tank and a Bulu Point fry in the bottom of the FX5 on their tank!

I think that it's a female because of the vent that was protruding. But with the FX5 at the bottom, it's a wide channel down the middle. So I don't think that the water current is very strong. She is thin though.

I know man! Super cool. I have her in with some F1 Maswa grow outs in a 75 gallon. So far so good. She seems a bit hesitant to eat actual food. I'll take it nice and slow being that she was basically starving to death. Porking her up immediately would most likely kill that day.

I thought this was common lol. I've had dozens of fish in my simo and canisters after months. And they were always larger than fry in the main tank

I can see that it's okay with an Eheim because the motor is at the top. With the FX, the motor is at the bottom, so there is good chance she got injured on the way into the canister. Anyway, cool save!
