  • Tanganyikan Gobys

Today I found some Tanganicodus Irsacae and some Spathodus Erythrodons.  I have been looking for these.  I was surprised when they had both.  Does anyone know if you can put them in the same tank?  Do you know if they will cross breed.  I may have to find some more room if that is going to be a problem.  I also have some Eretmodus already in that tank.  I really like these kind of fish.

Crossing shouldnt be an issue, and Eretmodus are pretty passive, so i dont think you will have many issues with the existing group..

The three will not live too well together.

The Eretmodus will be fine but the tanganicodus and spathodus are aggressive and all three looking very similar to each other will eventually kill each other.

I am a little confused.  What doe Quoc refer to?  Sorry I am kind of new here.

Do you think if you have them in a 100G tank, that is will make a difference?  I am in the process of acquiring a 135G tank as soon as my son gets his 240G.  Will that help?

I will make some other arrangements if I have to, but they seem to be getting along fine so far.  I have several Chipimbis in the tank also.  There is a lot going on in this tank.

I had 3 eretmodus in a 135g 6fter and they decided they didn't like each other......two almost dead gobies is what I ended up with....made it real simple to net them since they were barely swimming.

I have tanganicodus in another 6fter and at times they go after each other and as ferocious their teeth are I doubt anything would last long if they were to flip on each other.
