  • Fish found

With the recent flooding in Houston there have been many pond fish sadly swept away. There is a fish in the bayou near where I live that looks like it might be someones pet. Its about 7-8 inches long streamline looking. It looks like a blue African cichlid (the Texas cichlid is more round in shape)with some yellow spots on the dorsal and tail fin (does not look native). I think it might be a Jack Dempsey which would not survive the winter. He is not afraid of people and he acts like he wants to be feed; sticking his mouth out of the water and staying near the top. He is located in the bayou near Kitty Brook and Portal Dr.
