awesome! you might want to consider upgrading to a larger tank once they get closer to adult hood. 26 adults would be cramped in a 75 gallon and  will begin killing each other off to make up for the loss of territory/space.

          Re: My first ulwiles colony

26 fish is a bit excessive, in a 75 gallon.

If your stuck in a 4ft wall space look at getting into a 120 or 140 gallon, otherwise a 6ft 125 would be ideal for them.

Really nice picutres, and really nice looking fish.  It can be really hard to photograph tropheus, always on the move.  I think you did a great job capturing them.  Thanks for sharing..

I really like these guys.  Ek, has them also.  Where did you get this colony?  From Old world or some other place?

                  ddaquaria,

If you miss them so much I can always trade some fries for some of those RR fries you got.  RR are damn sweet!

                  J-WS6,

Thanks for the advice.  I been reading a lot about tank size and how many Ts to keep in it. To say the less, a lot people have different ideas on the wright tank size.  As for now I will try and keep them in the 75g.....but if things go bad (which I think it will when they are all fully grown and all breeding) I will upgrade to a 6 footer. Again, thanks for the advice.

                  edmlfc,

Thanks for the kind words.....I'm a noob to tropheus and taking pictures.

                  geoff_tropheus,

Again, thanks for the kind words. I have seen pictures from EK's group.  Those things look like monster! I got this group from a homey hook-up. Not all are WC. Some of the smaller ones are F1s.

                  delock,

If I been reading on the forum correctly EK got his stock from you? Regarding the breeding, I got one female holding right now.  But she is young and I'm sure she is going to eat them again.

yeah I sold my colony to ek...nice group. really thanking about bring another huge colony to go with my dubs.

brichardi (sp) trophs grow pretty big. you may want to start looking for a 6 footer to house them in.

" Betcha my Ulwiles could beat up your Ulwiles...." I don't think mine will get beat-up.....I think they might get eaten!  :( I would love me some Annectens too!:emtthumbs:

                            finfan,

If you keep fish long enough it will happen....the addition continues to spread.

                            delock,

Yeah, I have read and have seen pictures of these things becoming little monsters. I been keeping my eyes open for a bigger tank.  You know.....if you ever want to sell that swimming pool of a tank you have let me know first!
