...my wife got me a camera for my birthday...

I've been playing around with it non-stop for the past couple days

I finally got a picture to show the colors in the male Ectodus. From what I understand, there are two variants: Ectodus descampsii and Ectodus sp. "Descampsii North" These are north variant.

the top pic is amazing, the colors brilliant, the sand, the rock, and don't see any aquarium equipment - almost looks like he is in the wild with the background into the abyss - A++
          65 gallon - ADA 120p - planted
55 gallon - AGA standard - mix cichlid
          30 gallon tall - eclipse acrylic - semi-planted

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? I was feedin the fish today and I saw an interesting thing. A female Ectodus spat out a couple eggs, sucked down a couple  pellets of NLS, ans then grabbed her egss back up. I grabbed my camera, but alas... she didn't do it again. She was eating mostly flake food. I did mange to take a couple interesting pictures though...

if you could get video of the ectodus spitting-retreiving her eggs, that would be something.
