Unfortunately, the power outage apparently caused the adult fish to eat the Ectodus fry and the female cyps that were holding before the power outage are no more. Fortunately none of them died, and don't seem much worse for wear.

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

The breeding of my cyps slowed down a bit, so I got antsy and bought a few more. You can see two females holding in the upper right portion of the picture. They are back at it now!

The tricoti fry are not being spoken of publicly 8) ... plus... they don't exist.
The calvus hasn't had a chance to get any cyp fry. The fry stay on the surface of the water right after "birth"... where the Benthochromis have a nice snack. I'm working on saving up 20 cyp fry for a fellow boxer at the moment.

I'm a bit closer to having tricoti fry. I managed to get a mature male from tattoo. I've had one female hold for a couple days before swallowing. I think the tank is too busy, and it freaks her out. I may be looking into getting rid of my cyps from the tank. Plus - the Benthos are just eating the cyp fry before I can catch them and net them out. I've heard of people breeding Benthochromis with Ectodus as tankmates before - so I'll be keeping those. That was one of the reasons that I actually started to get interested in Ectodus in the first place. It'll be a very mellow tank without the cyps.
I'll give it a bit more time before I do something so drastic as to sell off my Cyprichromis though...
Some pics of the new addition:
