I've been wanting to add some new color to my tank for a while now and finally have the chance. But, I really need some suggestions as to what will look good and get along with my other fish. I have Iceberg Ahli's, Yellow Labs and Red Zebra's.

Re: Tank mates....
Hongi are cool, but they are VERY aggressive, I bought some and I ended up having to sell them because they where killing off other fish.
My friend got them and he put them in species only tank with more rock work per gallon of water than I have ever seen before.

Re: Tank mates....
Iodotropheus sprengerae is a nice, peaceful mbuna and good for most mixed cichlid tanks.Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Re: Tank mates....
After looking up every fish mentioned (never heard of even one of them 8O )...I really like the pseudotropheus demasoni. The way their lines have that sharp egde is really something. How readily available are they? How much do they usually run? Anyone have any they'd be willing to trade? I'll give up alot of fish for a few of these guys.A mouth will say anything....:ym_chatterbox:....Take a picture!!!!

Re: Tank mates....
Of course if you want them, they are on the other side of town, but usually Demasoni are found in just about any LFS. I would recommend use the phone and try your closest store and work your way out.....I traded a pair of them to charles out in rosenberg back in june, I'm sure mine are long gone, but I believe he has more, we where just out there on Saturday.

Re: Tank mates....
I'll call around....starting with Ultimate Fish. I have a 75g that I will have up and going soon, so there will be some changes with my set-up. I've been studing up on how to make a DIY wet/dry for my 100g so that I can get the old undergravel filter out and put some sand in.
I'm also in the proccess of changing the prices and deals on the fish I have for sale....had a few bites but no takers. Some of which may be my fault for taking too long to get back with them.A mouth will say anything....:ym_chatterbox:....Take a picture!!!!
