So, my peacock was holding again and I waited and waited. After a couple of weeks, when she looked like she was about to explode, I put her in seperate space. She let out 20+ babies. They are eating like crazy, but I had a interesting initial observation. They pretty much all look the same...like mini grey striped peacocks. However, there is one that looks ALOT lighter, kinda near albino-ish with alot of iridescence. Is that normal?

Re: Peacock fry!!!
yes.. all the young look the same.. it will be a while.. like when they get to be about 6-9 months old you will start seeing a difference.. the males will color up. Females will keep their color

Re: Peacock fry!!!
I would say so... All your peacocks fry should for the most part look like their mom.
If not then there is something odd with the fry

Re: Peacock fry!!!
Did you have Albino's in your tank? I have found one of my peacock holding non-fry in her mouth so if a fry from another got in her area she could have accidently scooped it up but if you have no Albino's then I dont know except just mutation that happens naturally.

Re: Peacock fry!!!
Nope...no albinos in the tank. Its not really albino, I guess, b/c it doesn't have red eyes. It is just more of a white color w/ no grey stripes like the other 20. The peacock was bought from Ultimate Fish...it was a show male. Or...that is who I think the father is. This is getting interesting...
