  • F1 Moba Fry Pics at Various Stages of Development

Stripped one of my wc moba mommas tonite on day 9 and she had 21 egg-bound little wigglers!!!!!!!!!!!!  I have 2 tumblers going this evening and 2 floating nursuries full!!!!!!

These mommas do all the work.....all I have to do is change the water and feed them. LOL

Here are some pics I just took of my F1 moba nursery.......................

these are F1 fry from my wc black moba momma.  She had 42 when I stripped her on day 6....I have 33 now....some had a tinge of white on them and poof they were gone within 3-4 days.

these are the 21 F1 newbies from another wc moba momma.  I stripped these on day 9.  When I strip around day 10-11 I usually don't lose any.

2 tumblers........both have double screens and I've added a stainless steel bolt and nut to hold both pieces together.  A few months ago I had the bottom half of the tumbler separate and my babies became a nice snack.

25 F1 fry from my wc black moba momma hitting 1 1/2" in a floating nursery.  I'm seriously considering growing them out to a larger juvie size (3 1/2"-4") since lots of customers are asking for larger fish.  Might even start shipping fish.

10 F1 fry from another wc moba momma.  They are almost 1" now.  10 went to their new home last week.

side tank shot showing the 2 diy floating nurseries and 2 tumblers......89 F1 moba fry at various stages of development.

I need to get me one of those Tumble from Jrogo.... I have tumbled a few times but every single time it was a last ditch effort to save eggs and every time I had to rig up something with a python tube and pantyhose.

You wouldn't have an extra/spare laying around from him that you want to sell now would you?

ek, if I had an extra one laying around, it would be yours...........no cost bro!!!!!!!

I have 3 that I use pretty regularly now.  Get the one from jrogo bro and have him send you the extra piece that makes it into a double screened tumbler.  My 3rd one is a smaller one that I got from jehmco.  I don't like it as much as the other larger ones.

yeah I found them on ebay after doing some digging around.

I'm not too fond of stripping though cause it stresses the crap out of me.... but I might just get one in case I need it.

Looks like he has the upgrade done to them already too.

Yes, the upgrade is very good now.  I had to add mine myself..................don't get stressed bro.........just take your time..........be gentle............breathe................LOL

Just got to practice doing it.  I can do big fish, but trophs, that's a different story.

I've had to do it before for a friend... it went well but I felt bad.

This is more of a just in case thing for me... like a back up plan
