  • Breeding Dojos

Added a 2nd dojo to my comunity tank recently and usually I don't see them until the light goes out.....
But Today they are chasing each other all over the tank while the light is on. Don't know if it is the LowPressure front coming throu or the 60% water change I did this morning or the 70 deg water temp from the change, but they look like they want to spawn to me. Does anyone know what it takes to spawn Dojos ? I Don't think they will be successful in my comunity tank.

'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

from what I've read spawning almost never happens in the aquarium with dojos.

mine have been extra active this afternoon... I think it is the front coming thru

ive read that there cold water spawners, some bred as food for the industry, they will tangle up in each other, twist around,do there thing, and the eggs will fall to the substrate, where they will lay until hatched, very cool loach,my gf house's tons of loach variants...........the the weather loaches are the coolest, nice having a weather staition in your office, they pick up on the barometric changes, used in old days also...................hence the name...............
