I got three the last time they had them cause the fiance wanted loaches and they are with my CRS. Before that they were with my Sp.Blue which I thought they ate the babies but I just seen some juvinile shrimps overrunning the place.
I keep mine well fed so they don't bother no one.700g Mini-Monster tank

Re: Any stores in Houston selling Botia sidthimunki?
After doing some reading, it looks like the 3 that I got are not sidthimunki. These are juveniles black lined loaches wich look alot like sidthimunki.
The main reason that I think these are not sidthimunki is the size. They're almost 2 inches long and the max size of the true sidthimunki is 2.5" which they reach after 5 years.
I'm 90% sure about this. What do you think ek?
When did you 1st get yours? How old and what size are they now?
If you know the ppl at Fish Ranch well, can you ask them?

Re: Any stores in Houston selling Botia sidthimunki?
These are the ones I got and these are the ones I saw in the tank...
I got mine probably a few months back and they are about 2". Most loaches like this are wildcaught since domestic breeding isn't profilic so that could be the reason why they are big already.
Which tank did you get them out of? they were in the aisle wher the planted display tanks are... above the frogs. I was just there today and they have the "chained" pattern on them.
Mine lose the black when stressed or when the lights first come on so that might be what you are witnessing.700g Mini-Monster tank
