I seen some at Fish Ranch II, my fiance wanted some to put in my planted tank but in the end we decided not to.

Call them and make sure though cause I was gonna get the ones out of the shrimp tank.

Village is out of them and won't order any new fish until after they move to their new location which will be another 3 wks.

I got three the last time they had them cause the fiance wanted loaches and they are with my CRS. Before that they were with my Sp.Blue which I thought they ate the babies but I just seen some juvinile shrimps overrunning the place.

I keep mine well fed so they don't bother no one.

After doing some reading, it looks like the 3 that I got are not sidthimunki.  These are juveniles black lined loaches wich look alot like sidthimunki.

The main reason that I think these are not sidthimunki is the size.  They're almost 2 inches long and the max size of the true sidthimunki is 2.5"  which they reach after 5 years.

I'm 90% sure about this.  What do you think ek?

When did you 1st get yours?  How old and what size are they now?

If you know the ppl at Fish Ranch well, can you ask them?

These are the ones I got and these are the ones I saw in the tank...

I got mine probably a few months back and they are about 2". Most loaches like this are wildcaught since domestic breeding isn't profilic so that could be the reason why they are big already.

Which tank did you get them out of? they were in the aisle wher the planted display tanks are... above the frogs. I was just there today and they have the "chained" pattern on them.

Mine lose the black when stressed or when the lights first come on so that might be what you are witnessing.

I got mine in the middle aisles too but did not notice any frogs near it.  On the tank it did say "sidthimunki $7.99"

That should be it then..... got pictures of yours? The tank had at least 40-50 of them in there.

Is the size the only reason you are doubting it?
