it was linked from a thread on loaches.com that I found linked from MFK. Appearantly the lady says the biggest ones name is "Marge" (large marge) I noticed that on the two huges ones the black bands were starting to break. is this normal. I've never had one bigger than 3" so I've never seen this.

        Large Marge....

I don't know if that's normal or not. We have some that are about 5" and their bars are still intact.

            That's really cool.

I have a clown loach that's about 19 years old. He's the last of 4 that I bought from Pet's Mart on Bay Area Blvd the 1st week they were open.

He's not that big. About 7" and real healthy looking. I'm not one to over feed. I probably underfeed.

Poor guy is in his 5th or 6th tank. Right now he's in my 36 bow front office tank. I have a huge piece of driftwood that I am starting to wonder if it's ever going to sink. Once it sinks and the tannins clear I'll post some pics

you're gonna have to sink it with rocks. I bought some unsunk wood from a member on here, really nice pieces too, but yeah, it can be a pain to sink em in a tank sometimes

as far as I know there has only been maybe one or two reported but non confirmed cases of them breeding in home aquaria. I do believe, though, that they are bred commercially; probably in large rearing ponds.
