It's a 135G tank. When I first got them they lived in a community tank, which later got converted to a Malawi tank. I realize that's not a purist's approach, but I did that years ago when I was much less experienced, and I've always just kept them in that tank. To be honest, I have never fed them anything particularly special other than shrimp pellets and frozen brine shrimp and blood worms, and these days they actually go nuts for NLS and anything else that the rest of the tank eats from the top.

iI've read ( keep in mind I said read and not tried) that at that size and larger they LOVE chopped market shrimp.

I have own several clown loaches that were almost a 12" easy. I love them with trophs cause they will take care of the bottom of the tank.
