  • Chinese Alge Eater...

What can I do about my mean Chinese alge eater.... I have three Panda CoryDora's and that alge eater is constantly jacking with them... should I pull the alge eater out and place him somewhere else? I could put a leash on him and chain his dumb self in a corner lol

A swift thump usually sets them straight.

Net it out and just pop it one and then throw it back in, works every time!

oh, and I think the CAE do not eat algae or enough to live up to their name. The SAE are the ones that work.

Once they begin to grow they just get worse, if you have a nice mean african malawi tank they can hold their own. Otherwise I might look into donating it to anyone that might want one for their larger aggressive tanks. Once they get over 6" they get downright vicious...

well if I was to put the CAE in with my Oscar, I the tables would turn... lol but the CAE is only like 4 in so he would be a snack. I'll just move it to my ACF tank... African clawed Frog tank

CAE only eat algae when they are small and then they start feed off of the slime coat of other fish and get very aggressive. i suggest that you pull him out. he will end up a meal for a xenopus frog. those things are the real 'pac man' of the frog world.

That's cuz they're brain dead by the time you throw 'em back in.
