  • i found baby plecos!

while trying to collect some plants from the creek by my house, i somehow netted 4 baby plecos. they appear to be common plecs, only about 3/4 of an inch long. im pretty sure they arent supposed to be there. could they be breeding?
    my fish house:
    2.5g- ramshorn hatchery
6g eclipse- yellow shrimp, chili rasboras, yellow apple snails
29g- geo grow-out, angels, 12"fire eel, dwarf frog, apple snails
45g- jade sleeper gobies, native killifish, feeder endlers

    75g-
2 oscars, parrot, silver dollars, albino channel cat, syno euptera, bichir, baby jaguar, convicts, yabby
    125g- fahaka puffer, rainbow shark
    and about a dozen bettas....

They have taken over the waters so it's almost guaranteed they'd breed soon

i know there are big fish, they break the surface. and i regularly catch ghost shrimp, which is cool. i think i want to keep these little guys, any advice on how to grow out? im like a worried mama, they are so tiny yet perfect in every detail! tried getting a pic but just a blob.

im guessing you mean that i should put them back? is that still the case if the species in question is a non-native, introduced, and possibly destructive to my creek? im unclear on the rules here...

I think it's a double no-no to put them back.

                Just keep them.

Sunny is saying they are "wild-caught" meaning as they are the top of the gene pool when it comes to breeding and normally wild caught fetches more monies.

They live in mud during the dry season, I'm sure they will be fine.
