  • My New Syno. Angelicus

Saw this guy yesterday and just had to have him. I rushed back out to the store today before they closed and luckily still had him so I snatched him up. He is the last member to join the African Biotope. This was taken right after he was put into the tank so he hasn't had a chance to darken back up yet.

Lol thanks for the reply. It has calmed down a lot, it was just swimming around a lot for a syno in my experience with different types.

Thanks Mista! The funny thing is I am 30 years old and back when i was around 10 or 11, my dad bought me a book on freshwater fish at The Houston Museum of Natural Science. This is one of the fish that I remember in it from when I was young that I always wanted and liked. Funny how that works sometimes.

Haha thanks Troy. I have really become fond of the Synos. From one fisherman to another, isnt it funny how we can like these catfish so much, but have an absolute hatred towards hardheads!

That's because they don't taste good and steal bait! At least it doesn't taste good to me...

Great pick up, certainly on a terrific African catfish. I have been wanting one of those Granulosa after seeing one in person...

Thanks! Probably my favorite Syno. When I saw him along with an awesome price, I had to snatch him up! I think he accidentally stuck the side of my elephant nose though. While doing a water change tonight, I noticed a sore spot on the side of him.
