  • Finally got some pics!

    Of my elusive little Banjo Cat. Only see him when its feeding time, other than that, he spends his time below the substrate or under moss.

      Thanks! Picked him up a couple of weeks ago at Aquarium World.

        Hmm you're finding all these good stuff! How much was he/she? I know FG had some a few months back but for like $60-80 each

            HAHA. He was $7 at AW. The ones they have at FG are called Eel Tailed Banjos. The only difference I see in them is that the tails are longer. Not worth the $80 in my opinion.

                Psh! That's not even much of a difference! Definitely does not warrant a jump from $7 to $80... They were selling the larger ones for about $100 or so.

                    Great pics, I really like the banjo cats. There are a few species we often see in the hobby and anything else is considered very rare. The eel tailed species get very large and are quite sought after by aficionados of the family, thus the larger price as they were likely wild caughts from Peru.

                      i like kitties. and i have to say, you have some of the coolest set-ups i see around... nothing tops the mudskippers.
                      my fish house:
                      2.5g- ramshorn hatchery
                      6g eclipse- yellow shrimp, chili rasboras, yellow apple snails
                      29g- geo grow-out, angels, 12"fire eel, dwarf frog, apple snails
                      45g- jade sleeper gobies, native killifish, feeder endlers

                      75g-
                      2 oscars, parrot, silver dollars, albino channel cat, syno euptera, bichir, baby jaguar, convicts, yabby
                      125g- fahaka puffer, rainbow shark
                      and about a dozen bettas....
